Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Schooners!

This morning we decided we NEEDED some exercise on the water before our muscles seize up -so went for a row. WITHOUT the camera. As soon as we left the dock an eagle flew directly over us carrying a big flounder type fish which he proceeded to drop right next to our wharf! then while he chowed down, another eagle sat right above on the railing of the wharf - for the longest time. And I didn't have the camera!!! :-( and of course by the time we returned the eagles, and the fish as far as we could tell, were gone. OH well. Also while we were out these elegant schooners ghosted past on very little air. Every year there is some sort of convention/regatta here for these gorgeous schooners (2 masted sailboats, the aft one being taller ). Still marine (misty foggy) air. I love these sails- long ago I did a series of sail paintings, it still draws my interest. Last night we watched some of Master and Commander - what exquisite shots of those square sails! (and I've forgotten what a great movie!) This pix is from the deck with the telephoto , against Galiano Island, after we were back and before the sun broke thru a bit later on. Managed to recoat the deck and shower deck (which has been drying for 3 days) with sealer today too. Exercise and some work!
And a bit of computer time as well - but it's working so slow that I'm slowly catching up with blips.!
Thanks for the get well wishes!
