Walk to Remember

A beautiful morning yesterday when we acted as marshalls for the BarnsleyHospice `Walk to Remember' 7km walk at Wentworth Castle Gardens, Stainborough.  Only a few miles from home and at one time on our regular walk route but not for the last year.  A lot of people commented about what a lovely parkland setting it is and that they hadn't known about it before.  (Such a shame that the Wentworth Castle Gardens Trust hadn't done more to publicise `The Gardens'.  Many organisations running on a financial knife-edge would have been giving out vouchers for a free visit/ free tea or coffee just to get more visitors back at a later date.)

Our marshalling position was down on the far (eastern) boundary just below the deer fence (Walking Marge might remember).  So I've included a photo in the extras.

An afternoon unloading bird food from the car and topping up feeders.  Plus meeting new neighbours.  I didn't make it back into Sheffield for the Printmakers AGM (why have it on a Sunday!) - I fell asleep instead!
