Regent's Park, London

A short-notice visit to the capital to explore a collaboration opportunity. I flew from Cairo this morning arriving at the airport just after 5 am as the sky took on the rosy hint of dawn. It was the first Cairo-London segment I've done since the 7th October 1981 when I flew out the day after Anwar Sadat's assignation, 35 years ago. And today, the plane brought me to British soil on the 39th anniversary of my father's death. It's been chronicled here before - available if you click back to my year ago entry.

I popped into Marylebone Parish Church for a wee prayer at the appointed hour and read the hymn, The King of Love My Shepherd Is, which concluded his funeral service.

Always missed.
