Up in the Clouds

An eventful day in Center Parcs, Woburn. We woke up to rain and whilst walking over to the Segwey experience with Immy and Rosie, we saw sleet and even a bit of snow. I (Chris) did wonder if we'd be allowed on them but they are obviously weather proof so off we went.

They have added an off road section to the route since last year and with the added moisture, it was quite exciting, we all enjoyed the challenge. We stopped for a quick break after the off road section, Rosie felt a little faint and was encouraged to sit down for a minute. Immy then announced she felt the same way and proceeded to stagger towards a tree with her legs giving way beneath her. She didn't actually faint but the guide determined that neither of them should continue and were soon collected by the park medical staff for a quick visit to the medical centre. Unsurprisingly once there, they were both completely fine. Both have fainted at school in the past but with the adrenalin rush of the Segwey course, coming to a sudden stop together with the cold temperature was deemed to be the source of the faintness. We walked home for a good lunch and had a good laugh about it.

This afternoon Annie and the girls have been in the spa chilling out in the various facilities which they all greatly enjoyed. With the weather clearing up, I went and took a few pictures in amongst the lovely trees in the grounds.

We're off out to eat this evening, the end of an eventful but fun day.
