Dog violet

Not much to offer today I am afraid, it has rained miserably most of the day and everywhere is saturated and just horrible!
This beauty in miniature is a Dog violet Viola riviniana, a common little spring flower in these parts, often seen growing with Primroses, as you can see it still has water droplets on it from the incessant rain.
I did manage a quick trip to North Holmwood church (in the rain), and my extra is a picture of the rather sweet knitted 'Last Supper' that was displayed by one of the windows.
