'Your passport photo doesn't do you justice' said my mortgage advisor Sumeeta. She was wonderfully responsive today, staying after hours with five minutes' notice, for something I've got to produce to try and reserve a new flat tomorrow. Fingers crossed I can convince the show home rep I'm a safe bet (they're contributing to this destruction of the property market by mainly targeting investors to buy off-plan, which doesn't help all of those people in the Cambridge area clamouring to get on or move up the ladder).
