Tentacles on the quay

I saw this sculpture on Woodbridge quayside yesterday. I haven't seen it before, so it must be a recent addition. It was looking good in brilliant sunshine - a great improvement on the wet and miserable weather we have had recently.  The plaque says it's by local blacksmith Tom Moye.

I am not sure if the creature is a squid or an octopus, but it makes an interesting addition to this quay occupied by house-boats.
