MonoMonday: Environment

Underneath the St.Johns Bridge in Portland is a heaven for environmental photo targets. It's the location for Portland Water Pollution Control Laboratory, with a rain garden and other nature friendly landscaping. There are signs warning of the danger of eating certain fish from the river, trash on a pretty beach, heavy industry across the river, oil storage tanks, large grassy areas dappled with wildflowers. We had a pic nic  in the park there.. This drinking fountain has a little tray in the bottom, allowing animals to get a drink as well. I watched a couple of crows, and then this squirrel drink from it. Too slow with my camera to catch him drinking, but a good blip to the environment challenge,
