Finding the sheep near the Schäferscheune

Starting from Zero again...but where to begin? Anywhere? Nowhere? From where you are? What’s the point? You never know where to find that starting point. Because it was always already there. It’s in you, in the depth of your self, your spiritual heart. So do not worry, just move, just move on. Leave your comfort zone and go for a walk, together. Where? There:
around the corner, you climb up the Diemelhöhe. Don’t look at the rain clouds. See the colourfull blossoms and flowers in the gardens. Be amazed by those weird silhouettes of tortuous apple trees on the hill top. Don’ mind the weather. Today is today, not yesterday.

And there at the foot of the Krukenburg Ruin, on the meadow behind the Shäferscheune, we discover a herd of sheep. Calmly grazing. Coming near to snif as we descend towards them through the high grass. Here we are again, hello? Different sheep you are. Where have you been all the time. We don’t remember. No need search the archives. There is only this now&here, we sheep, we, Willemien and me. the grass and the clouds and the greens, dark greens, whites and yellows in the trees over there.

We leave the sheep to descend a small stony footpath down the slope . The oldest connection between the Krukenburg Heights and the village of Helmershausen. The terraces and gardensheds mostly overwilderd, derelict. Only the inhabitants at the foot of this steep, wild slope are cultivating their gardens. We leave this Paradise Lost, cross the main street to follow the Diemel river back to our starting point. Nothing special: we stroll though the dry grass following the flow downstream. Willows, a cataract, fallen oaks, nobody else around. Zero, such a relief on a cloudy afternoon.
