a spring snowscape...

...is what i woke up to

today

what a total surprise it was - for i thought we were done with the snow - ahhhh... the joys of living in the foothills of the rockie mountains

this photo has a slight blue cast due to the - morning sun coming up therefore being reflected in the sky - giving it what i think is a really pretty effect - with the white of the snow - and you can guess what happened with that sun rising fully into - the sky; yup - it melted off all that wet heavy snowfall within a matter - of about 3 hours in sum total - leaving behind small rivulets of water - in the grass, on the sidewalks, dripping off tree branches - almost as if the snow had never been - there in the 1st place - which always amazes me - it's one of the miracles of living at such - a high altitude and also contributes to the makings of...
