Morning Tulip

Out on the deck feeding the birds I noticed the wonderful dew drops on the two tulips in a pot that are getting older and still staying beautiful. (We'd all like to do that I expect.) I actually combined two photos to be able to have the center and the petals both in focus. I loved the rich color and the tiny drops.

Today was painting and I finished my painting and started another one. You can see the finished painting on Artist at Play, my painting website. I just did the under painting on the new one. 

Our good friend Ian arrives from Holland this evening. We are both delighted to have him here for three weeks.
