Water, water in the pond ...

..... who is the fairest swan of all?

Only one swan in the pond and today it was paddling about in the small pond.  I've never seen it there before ..... the large pond is its usual domain.  

Just as I was about to continue my walk with the dogs I saw something small and red out near the island.  Using my camera as binoculars I spotted the tiny coot chicks.  I have included a picture of them in the extras along with one of the dogs who were looking just a trifle bored!
