Tiptoe through the Tulips

The daffodils are wilting and no longer looking their best the tulips however are looking spectacular ...... so many varieties, colours, sizes and shapes, some standing tall and straight like soldiers on parade and others adopting more graceful shapes as the stems bend and twist.

The Glasgow Botanic Gardens have a splendid show both in the formal beds and in the glasshouses. There are some less formal beds near the gates where this beautiful yellow/red tulip was growing.
