In Search of Heronries

We went to see if we could find some heronries today - we didn't do very well. We walked quite a long way around the location we were given for one, and saw no heronry, in fact no birds. It has been a few years since they were surveyed so it is possible that they are no longer there. We also failed with the second one, as there was a road closure preventing us from getting to the area. Still, we had a very pleasant walk in lovely Spring weather.
