Abandoned

This small group of boarded up houses on the fringes of Stirling have been intriguing me recently. Despite all of the regeneration going on all around the Raploch area here, and the fact the tourist buses pass directly nearby and the area is right next to Stirling Castle, there's been no activity around for years (since 2007 when the area was scheduled for demolition).

There does seem to be at least one, maybe two houses that seem to be still occupied (there was a load of washing out in one of the back gardens at least) so maybe that has something to do with the neglect. Meanwhile, the road is breaking apart as nature starts to reclaim the land and the buildings are slowly decaying of their own accord.

Odd.
