A Day at the Races

Went to Perth Races with friend J. for the first time ever, as she shares my love of all things horsey.  The day was dry with occasional bursts of hot sunshine, but even more of cold breezes, so we didn't stay all afternoon.

It was a lovely experience, with close-up views of the horses in the enclosure and a good view of the races thanks to the huge screen.  We didn't bet any money, but each chose a favourite (none of which won!)  There was even real drama when the favourite fell in the second race, but fortunately neither horse nor jockey was hurt.

I've put some more shots in Extras, including one of the lovely exotic dancers who entertained the crowd between races.  I'd definitely go again as it was a grand day out:-)
