THE CLIVIA FLOWERS

We needed really a day of rest and even while I was busy in the garden, it was a day of rest. We did not go for a walk. Piet Hein suggested to walk to the Weser, in the afternoon. I declined, going down the hill and climbing up again, why bother on this warm, even hot day. Tomorrow will be soon enough.
I saw this gorgeous flower nearby.
I think it is a Clivia, an old fashioned and at other times much loved plant.
Huge thanks to BikerBear for hosting this fabulous challenge.

My haiku:

Simple tasks require
Little effort but many
Can be soon too much

A rather strange haiku, but it had to be said, obviously.

And the proverb:

Something must be left to chance.
