Staring up at St. Oswalds

Slept like the proverbial log last night.......don't remember a thing until after 7 :-)

Sunny Saturday morning....decidedly chilly out of the sun, but in it, just gorgeous......had a lovely walk into town. Bought a few bits, then walked up to St. Oswalds Church for a few shots in the gorgeous sunshine. The daffs on the green are still going strong and looks lovely, but I liked this view from the green across the road, looking up the driveway towards the church. We then called in Reds for a coffee before walking home again. We did a bit of litter picking on the way back through the area that had been thoroughly cleared, to keep on top of things....so infuriating, that it only takes a few days before people start to be louts again!!!! (Sorry rant over!)

Lovely dippy eggs with wholemeal toast for lunch. Hub covered over his potatoes in the garden, in case we get a frost tonight.......I made a cauliflower cheese for later, to accompany grilled gammon and jacket potatoes. I wish that cauliflower didn't stink the house out so much, even with the extractor going like the clappers and the back door open!! Daughter rang to see if she and Emily could call round tomorrow as her partner is having to work.......so they are coming for Sunday Dinner. Think I'll be cooking Roast pork.

I was just getting settled to watch my team in th FA Cup semi final, when middle son rang to see if they could stop off on their way back from a day in Blackpool with their girls........needless to say I didn't see a lot of the match, but that was ok by me, Olivia and Isabella are such fun to be around :-)
Olivia is much better now, Daddy is on the mend too. I did see the goals, including an own goal, a fantastic save and the 93rd minute winner.....happy days :-)

We've had dinner late, after our surprise visitors left for home.
Watched TV and am now, just about to,watch the footie highlights ;-)
