Anzac Day in New Zealand and Australia. Up at 5am to attend dawn service. Not so many people as last year. A beautiful sunrise with the sparrows in the trees above chortling away as they woke. Seagulls and a heron flew over too. Breakfast at the RSA.
Down to the beach to find some sparkling diamonds for davidc's mono challenge. Thanks David.
I enjoyed sitting in the sun getting the right settings.
This afternoon at Marahau. Walked the track a wee way but no banded rails.
Called at The Riwaka cemetery on the way home to find the family graves of those who lost a member marked with a poppy. These were for the men mentioned on the cenotaph but from other places. Some spares for those forgotten and  some rosemary for remembrance.
Lest We Forget.
