Count the Crocodiles.

Another Malaccan first: the Botanical Park. People come here to jog in the reserve forest. Not coming back. Don't like it. Also don't like the dilapidated children's area with rusty swings and seesaws.

Pictured: a depiction of the Malay folktale of Sang Kancil (Mousedeer) and the Crocodiles. Sang Kancil wanted to cross a river to get to a tree of ripe rambutans. He decides to call the crocodiles in the river and say that he's been assigned to count all the animals in the jungle by the king. The crocs line up across the river and Sang Kancil counts them as he hops over each one to the other side. There are a few variations to the ending. One says that he's rewarded for outsmarting the crocs, while another I know ends with him being too late: monkeys had gotten in to the rambutans.
