Updated & Defeated

Windows 10 don't you know. 

I backed things up and I let Windows 10 install itself..

All my stuff is where I left it and it seemed to be quite a painless exercise. And then I logged on today....

I was quite happily browsing when <Pouf> blank screen and then my computer rebooted itself.  Apparently Windows 10 had an update and it automatically instals it without asking you about it.

If I had been editing text or working on a photo or even playing a game, that would make me mad.  It is a fundamental problem.  And searching for a solution I discovered that I can get it to notify me that there's is an update available, but your only option with that is to click on OK and it will install the update.  I hope someone is racking up the overtime to fix that.  An update that will no doubt just shut down my session and install itself.

Had another busy day - we were playing host to yet another new member of staff and it was my turn to do the talking.  Talking for 5 hours straight is very tiring.  And given it was all about Mainframe stuff, it's surprising that he didn't fall asleep.
