Landing

I took this in Baltimore on my way back from my vacation in Virginia. One five-hour flight later, and I'm home.

I finished my book on the way home. I read "Code Talker," a memoir by one of the original 29 Navajo code talkers, Chester Nez. It was great. There was a lot in it I didn't know. I learned more about Navajo culture, but I especially learned more about the code talkers. I grew up on the Navajo reservation, so we'd always heard stories about them, but this was an in-depth look from someone who experienced it. I recommend it if you want to learn more about Native American life and especially the Navajos' main contribution in World War II.
