REFLECTIONS.....

... as mentioned yesterday wanted to get to the mighty Nepean River and have some fun with the "big" (weighty) lens Jensphoto has kindly loaned me to check out!!

Well, what a fun time I had, and what a time nature was having. 

It was overcast and quite still, and a lot of activity so a good opportunity to check this lens out.

Found it quite heavy, and even with the mono pod need to get used to the "equilibrium" of weight.

Have put a selection up on Flickr if you wish to have a look. Have not been loading up here for ages, and need to get up to date!!!

One BIG find was a new variety of bird!!!??? 

Found a "swivel neck"  - been looking to get one of these for ages!!! Have a look in extra, and you tell me how it can keep it's eyes static while doing this manoeuvre? ha ha... 

And, have a look in extra at the pelican sequence of coming in to land....

All in all, not sure J, definitely need to do a lot more to get used to it!
