Paris/Dressed

We all know Parisians dress well - what amazes me is the lovely footwear for traipsing about!

Made a decision to extend here for three more days as apartment was open and I/we could not bear to leave. It worked out well!
So here we are with more time. Six more days now. Heading to Chartres tomorrow.

(Today's journey: Metro to Bois de Vincennes, kind of a disappointment with a long trudge through generally mystifying signage. Lunch and coffee fortifications and metro back to city to Champs Elysees and winding way through some of the 16th to place Victor Hugo, down to Place Trocadero, the Jardins du Trocadero, over to Place de Alma and up George V where the image was taken near some of the very upscale designer stores where there are no visible entries, back to Champs Elysees to the Jardin des Tuileries, north to Jardin du Palaise Royal - and on back to apartment. 11.5 miles and we both have so much better a feel for the layout of the city. So amazing at every turn!)
