Baking in a blizzard

Today is 'Great Friday', what is known as Good Friday in UK but with a different calendar, ie it is Orthodox Easter this weekend. So today I was baking two 'cozonaci'' - Romanian celebratory sweet bread rather like the Italian panatone but not quite the same, indispensable for Easter in Romania. We like it best filled with a chocolate and walnut cream so that is what I've done. Another popular filling is Turkish Delight, in Romanian rahat, but this has an alternative translation which describes how we feel about a cozonac stuffed with it - sh*t.
Meanwhile, there has been a blizzard outside, off and on, for much of the day so far.
Extras show the finished cozonaci, in the tin ready for baking, one during assembly.
It's the first time I've attempted it; Moldovan mums have reputations depending on how they make this sweet bread and Petronela's mum makes it extraordinarily well.
Petronela for the first time exercised her right to have the day off from school for reasons of faith; today it is she who has a hospital appointment for a checkup so I'll be taking her now the baking is done. She'll be making some other Romanian food tomorrow for Sunday, when the pre-Easter fast will end.
