Arrival

In Aberdeen when we left this morning the temperature was 2 degrees, in Lenno this afternoon we had 18 degrees, and it felt more in the sunshine.

Not the best of journeys, particularly at Schipol where there was a chaotic crowd of people trying to get into the Schengen area. I suspect many of us were EU citizens, so why not have a couple of dedicated EU passport channels. (Extra photo).

To compensate when we collected our hire car. Instead of the FIAT 500 we were expecting we got a FIAT 595 Abarth. The same body as a 500, but a much more assertive engine.

In the evening we strolled down to the lake to one of the bars. They plied us with so many free snacks (bread, salami and pizza) we could not face a meal later and just had a light salad.
