Chatham Seagull ...

Although we didn’t do a lot of driving today we still had a full day!

We started by going back toward Barnstable to tour the factory where Cape Cod Potato Chips are made! How fun that was! And we even got a couple of free sample bags, which we enjoyed with lunch!

From there we drove to Roland C. Nickerson State park as I had read that there were red squirrels there.  And we all know how obsessed with squirrels I am!  We spent some time driving and parking within the park but we were disappointed in the lack of wildlife … if you don’t count the campers!

After leaving this state park we drove to Chatham to see the Coast Guard station and lighthouse there.  As you can see it was a lovely sunny day but a little on the cool side.

We were there for a little while before moving on the Hyannis to visit the JFK Hyannis Museum.  Unfortunately it was closed so we drove down to the beach from there.  Then it was back to our condo in Mashpee.

We finished the day with another beautiful sunset at South Cape Beach.

Miles driven today:  106
