Walking to the Fells

Time to try out the new car. Early drive to Windermere and Ambleside with coffee and Bath Buns at the Apple Pie Eating House. The delicious Bath Buns are identical to those we regularly ate there over 40 years ago. Comforting to know that some things avoid the constant pressure for change.

Time to escape the honeypots as the long weekenders are arriving in force. Drive up the peaceful
Kentmere Valley where the shot was taken.

The sun shone but the extra shows that the next hailstorm squall is fast approaching. Time for lunch in Wilf's Cafe.
