Smoke & Storks

The dramatic black smoke comes from a place called Heidesheim.  Apparently a car exploded in a garage and that set a warehouse next door on fire.  According to news reports there are more than a 100 fire brigade units in attendance.

We went out for a walk - it was the first sunny Saturday in ages - and were quite surprised by the number of storks we saw flying around.  The storks had noticed that farmers had started to plough fields today and that mean that lots of things that storks eat were being uncovered.

The field nearest the house had a tractor ploughing and a devoted following audience of 10 storks.

I would have blipped them, but the battery in my camera conked out and the spare battery that I always have, was at home because I took a different bag....

I'll go back out tomorrow and blip some cherry blossom - Frauenstein looks ace.
