Crumpets

A really enjoyable evening yesterday at Blipper Igor's gig to raise money for the local cardiac support group; good music, good company, and I reckon there were eight Blippers in the room.

This morning W made crumpets from scratch for the first time. These are said crumpets in the pan just starting to cook. In conversation last night one of the other Blippers said that having made them once, she would probably not make them again. She was right. They were tasty enough but not as enjoyable to make as 'proper' bread, and one of the rare things that frankly, it's probably better to buy.

Rugby this afternoon; Bedford playing Bristol in the first leg of the play-off semi-finals. Let's just say I'm not expecting to have to buy a ticket for the final.
