Sleepy Kitty

The sleepy little kitty in this photo (taken two years ago today) is one of two babies born to a wild cat (who I named Minnie) that hung around our neighborhood of Acadia Estates in Florida. I had taken the pregnant Minnie under my wing, so to speak, (in March) with food and shelter ensuring that she had a safe and comfortable place to stay and give birth.
Unfortunately, the story of this sleepy kitty has a rather sad ending as Mama Minnie and both of her babies disappeared without a trace just a few days after this photo was taken. 
What actually happened remains a mystery but I would like to believe that the little family was simply out wandering one day and another Good Samaritan offered them a loving home where they lived happily ever after.
