Danza Prima

The Danza Prima, a traditional dance from Asturias, danced throughout the year, but with a special association with the summer solstice when it may be danced around a fire. It is thought to be very ancient but its origins are lost in the mists of time. The dancers link togther into a circle, or concentric circles, by hooking their little fingers together and singing as they dance.
