Spring in Silverdale.

Well its just a couple of trees coming into leaf.

But as I walked towards them I suddenly realised that the scene before me really summed up the delightful landscape of the area in which I am lucky to live and in which I walk every day.

The close sheep cropped limestone grassland, the dry stone walls and the scattered trees are so characteristic of parts of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

On the left you can see the tower of Silverdale church among the trees and to the right is the village cemetery.

My extra shows new growth which caught my eye in Arnside as I began my walk.
