Flame shoulder moth

This rather beautiful, newly hatched moth is a Flame shoulder Ochropleura plecta, a common UK species found in gardens, meadows and woodland fringes. It flies in 2 2 generations, in May and June and again in August and September, and was a very welcome visitor to my moth trap.
