Mirabelle With Approaching UFO

A relatively busy day.  Shopping - for food and then for plants at a local market.  And then gardening.  In the sun (about 25°C).

We wanted to plant a lawn in front of the house and that meant we had to prepare the patch by getting rid of all the plants that had decided to colonise it.  Quite astonishing how the more work you put into clearing a patch, the more things seems to appear from nowhere.

Anyway we got it cleared, enriched, watered, seeded and rewatered. And we also have some small flowering plants (25 cents each from the market) planted on the front edge of the soon-to-be-a-lawn.

I also got rid of most of the plants that were growing in the path to the house - dandelions* do not go easy into the recycling.

It was quite a satisfying way to spend some time outdoors.

And our plum tree is coming along nicely - here it is in March

*Löwenzähne - lion's teeth - in German.  And do not fret for the bees, we have tons of other plants in bloom.
