Heritage 3 ways - Mono Monday 120

Today's Mono Monday challenge is right up my street - literally. An iconic bit of British motor heritage, my classic mini. An iconic bit of German motoring heritage, my Volkswagen camper. Both parked outside the 19th century manor house which, now part of the complex including our apartment, gives the name to our address - Menston Hall. The grand old building, now divided into flats, replaced a far older one in 1876.
The one it replaced, Low Hall, is thought by many historians to be the place where Cromwell met other Parliamentary leaders before the Battle of Marston Moor in July 1644. Other historians say the meeting was at Old Hall (now named Fairfax Hall, a magnificent 17th century manor house still standing and in excellent condition) in another part of the village, home of Sir Thomas Fairfax, Governor General of the Parliamentary army.
Many thanks to Nickymags888 for hosting this MM challenge.
