Thrift

Up to Birsay today. At the Loons RSPB reserve the usual birds were in attendance- mallard, tufted duck, shoveler, etc plus three black-tailed godwits. Lots of lapwing and curlew displaying and snipe drumming. Someone got a crane there later. Up on Marwick Head it was busy with contractors working on the Kitchener memorial and a couple of walking groups. Large numbers of kittiwakes were feeding on the sea. I noticed the thrift coming through and took this shot.
