Down in the Dip

Goodbye Table Football

Here is the only photograph I took today, I had to climb up on a high stool to take it as it is sitting on top of the blue felted pool table in the shed. The photo was for Mr Down in the Dip who plans to use it for e bay as, just for today, it is free to place the for sale ads. This is going up with another few things but I don't hold up much chance of it selling.

Just a wee word of advice, if anyone has a young son and is wondering what to get them for birthday or Christmas don't buy one of these. Perhaps for the first few days a doubles or singles tournament might be a bit of family fun, but it won't last long. After about a week one child might be a bit down as he can't find anybody to play a match with but by the end of the month all the balls will be lost and the only daily exercise the little lines of men will get is when a bored child passes by, flicks the handle and sends them into a mad cartwheel spin. The thing then just becomes an unbelievably bulky lump of plastic which you walk into, accidentally kick, pile great heaps of washing on top of and finally banish to the shed. This is where it adds to the general, clutch you down clutter of your life and years later (if you have big sheds and are as disorganised as we are) you can hopefully put the thing up on e bay. At first hoping for a wee bit of cash but then after a week or two being sadly satisfied with one of those free to take away sites.

If nobody comes maybe we could cut it up and squash it into the recycle bin at the end of the week. Whatever the outcome it has to go and I declare publicly to all who our listening - our sheds will be tidy very soon!
When it is all over a lovely blip of a clear floored shed will be posted.
