A very special lady

After yesterday's picture and commentary about the Queen's 90th birthday I could not fail to mention that I have fond memories of her mother, a real "people person", whose charming smile was always a pleasure to photograph, and reached the age of 101. 

This shot, coincidentally also taken at Goldsmiths Hall but on a different occasion, was the last I took of her and remains in my memory as one of my favourites, in spite of the reflections in the glass display cabinet.
