The womble

Liz photographed Uncle Bulgaria and we sang a little tune, before lunch in Pateley Bridge with the dogs.

This gritstone creation is the Druids Idol, an estimated 200 tonne balancing act on a 12inch diameter pyramid.  It was formed by wind, rain and frost not, as it was first thought, by the Druids!

It was an amazing contrast in temperatures today but not quite enough wind and rain to erode the monolith into collapse.
