Badger!

It was the last day of our wonderful Lakeland Photography Holiday week today and we paused briefly at Castlerigg Stone Circle before moving on to Aira Force to work on photographing the cascades and to get a view of Ullswater from the fellside of Gowbarrow.  On the way back down from the fell tutor John spotted movement across a fence and it was this badger!  We both thought the glimpse of it would have to suffice as that was exciting enough for me, but it appeared to be a young badger and probably not aware that we were a possible threat and so it hung around snuffling in the undergrowth.  We were both diving around sorting cameras and settings whilst following him/her down the track.

I'm still coming down from such a wonderful once in a lifetime encounter!

From Aira Force we drove around Ullswater to the very picturesque Martindale to complete the day and the workshop.  Fabulous week!
