Dreaming of the mountains

A dream of the Alps, aided by a local friend who invited me round to see his garden.  Retired for a while now, he has created a beautiful garden on his sloping plot in a tiny Norfolk village.  Much more than just a rock garden, including shady areas, ponds, a man-made stream .... and more.  

This Globularia cordifolia, with it's little powder blue pincushion flowers looks so natural growing over the rock, just as it does in the wild places.  As an extra, the view across part of the rock garden, taken with the above flowers at my feet.
