The sweet smell of Silage

Really, I like it.

The Mines Road is full of interesting and derelict little houses. This one seems very nicely proportioned with its two chimneys and central upstairs window. Now the site is just used for silage storage.

A bit of a busy week coming up. Up at sparrowfart tomorrow morning for my last bird watch wander around the wilds of Knockataggart, then I am going to London for the day on Tuesday to meet up with a gang of friends I haven't seen for 30 years! We are rendezvousing at Kew. Will we recognise each other? Then on Thursday we start our journey to Orkney - staying overnight in an airport hotel in Cork, flying on to Edinburgh again at sparrowfart. A day in Edinburgh and then on to Kirkwall! Just what to pack???

Many thanks to Marlieske for doing the business for the next few weeks.
