Free Hugs

It's been a lovely day today. I need to backblip tomorrow when I get the chance.

I didn't get to bed until after 3am last night, which meant only a few hours kip before the early start this morning. I met up with Rachelwhynot in London for our first unofficial Blip meet ;-)

And it was a lovely day. It was actually quite nice to get up early, and it was quite freeing to be out and about and not get sucked into doing chores and all those things you feel you should do just because it's the weekend!

I shall write this in much more detail when I'm back from the gym tonight ;-) For now I shall leave you with a few pics from the day- I'm sure I shall add a few more later- I really struggled to choose just one!

The longer version...;-)

I was up at 7:30am today-ouchie! Little Ro decided to cause some excitement by arriving home intoxicated in a taxi... at 3am.... Luckily I had just got into bed, and was still internetting on my phone, so the extremely loud banging on the front door didn't alarm me too much. Less can be said for my poor mum and dad..... Dad paid the taxi guy, and then Little Ro stumbled in. I'm guessing, as I didn't hang around to see that part.

I had a lovely bath this morning, and whilst I was getting ready I could hear the two of them having a chat with her about what exactly happened last night. There was wailing, so I missed out on most of the conversation. I can't help but feel annoyed with her, even though it didn't really affect me.

It was bright and sunny, and I caught the 10am train. I got to London Bridge, where we planned to meet, but as usual, I came out of the wrong tube exit, so poor Rachelwhynot had to find me!

And it was so lovely to meet her! It's was so nice to finally put a face to the words, so to speak, particularly when the writer of those words has had so much kindness and comfort to offer to this girl when she pretty much hit rock bottom.

We stopped for a coffee and I think we talked for a couple of hours! We had a wander around Borough Market, which is a great place for us camera folk ;-) We had lovely Paella, and it was just so nice to wander about, talking and taking pictures.

We wandered through Hayes Galleria, and along the water all the way back to Southbank, where we spotted these guys in the picture. We decided to stop at LPQ, which is one of my favourite cafe's, and had teas and dessert.

It was such a lovely day. I felt so free, just able to go off and pursue the things I enjoy this weekend, socialising, eating out, taking photos, and not forgetting shopping ;-) I felt really fulfilled somehow, and it made me realise that if I focus on doing the things I enjoy, rather than dating, then I will be happier, and whatever will be will be.

So thank you to my friend for taking the time to meet up. It was a wonderful day and I am so thankful for this platform that enables us to share our stories and connect with those around us.

Until next time ;-)
