Apprehensive...

...best describes Lilly's look this evening and I don't blame her.  On 4 January the builders arrived to do what seemed a relatively small job, namely to knock down the wall between the dining room and a small lean- to, creating a more open space and increase light by adding a roof lantern to the single story bit.

The work seemed to take an age though and the room was sort of usable by the end of March, for Easter but there were still things to be done.  Tomorrow sees the fitting of a new  carpet at one end ( the 'new' bit has a wooden floor) which has resulted in us having to drag everything virtually out of the room in order to pull up the old carpet.
So just when the cats believed that everything was finally returning to normal, we go and upset things!

You will note that I have taken a very careful shot of Lilly, making sure to get her good side.  A couple of months ago she had to have her right eye removed due to a cancerous growth.  She has made an excellent recovery and last week celebrated her 16th birthday!
