The Old Forge (Monday 16th May 2016)

These timbers line the side of the shared driveway and have significance to me as they formerly belonged to the outbuilding that is being renovated at the moment. I took them for Mono Monday for which the theme is 'Wayside'. Thanks to Nickimags888 for hosting the challenge.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Bob Dylan - Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues (recorded live, Free Trade Hall, Manchester, 17 May 1966)
I was listening to a Radio Four programme on the Radio iPlayer called 16 5 1966, which was about how two of the seminal albums of the sixties, Pet Sounds and Blonde On Blonde were released in the US on the same day, and it was also mentioned during the programme that Dylan's infamous performance in Manchester when an audience member called him "Judas" just before he launched into Like A Rolling Stone was also on the same date.
This obviously determined what my LOTD would be, but when I looked into it the links seemed to evaporate. Whilst Pet Sounds was released on 16 May it seems that the Dylan double album suffered a series of delays due to last minute remixing and remastering at Dylan's behest, and didn't reach the shops until the end of June (in the UK it was August). Dylan was touring the UK at the time, but was playing the Sheffield Gaumont on the 16th, the famous Free Trade Hall gig following the day after.
It is odd that the traditionalists were so surprised when he opened his second half of the set with an electric guitar and a band (The Hawks) as his last two albums had featured both, and the massive hit single Like A Rolling Stone had been released in July 1965.
