Home place pecan tree

We decided to stop by the home place which sits at the corner of Pinkney Tyndall Road (Kent's grandfather, who built the house) and Prentice Tyndall Lane (Kent's dad, who was born in the house).

That huge tree behind the power pole is our pecan tree that provides a crop every other year.  That crop is large enough to provide pecans for Kent & I, his 4 siblings and many more in the family.

We decided to stand at the trunk of the tree to give you an idea of its mass.  This tree has been hit by lightning more than once.
