Catching

Weather and spirits remain low all around.

The only highlight was Farmer, John Deere Fan and Tractor Collector Albert turned up with young mechanic Max to take a look at my sorry JD, that has now been standing outside the front door since before Easter. With the price od scrap steel so low, you would have to pay to get her taken away.

However Max took a quick listen to the sad sounds coming from the engine as it slowly turned over. Seemed to disturb him a little less than the state of the "oil" on the dipstick. BUT he pronounced, the gal was worth saving and it wouldn't cost a fortune, the spare parts being relatively cheap for the 50 year old lady. Max would get it done in his free time.

Rather than messing about with borrowing a road trailer and taking the JD over to Max's yard a few km from here.,Albert said he would come over from Erkheim with one of his JDs and tow me.

So that episode was good news. Then back to sofa, TV, kidney stone production........ and watching rain drops..... wasn't there a song in yesterdays non showing of Butch Cassidy???????
