The neighborhood mallards were quacking me up!

Our neighborhood is blessed with a mallard couple that returns every spring and roams (or flies) from yard to yard, eating seeds dropped from feeders and swimming in puddles or swimming pools. On this morning, there was a wealth of mallards: four or five males and two females, and the little lady you see in the background of this pair, was not happy about the situation.  She was seriously disturbed by the intruders. Here you can see her complaining to the other female about it. Her vociferous quacking was loud enough to disturb the entire neighborhood. In the extra photos, she is doing her best to get her mate to enter the fray. Eventually she was victorious. The others waddled away, and peace returned to the neighborhood.
