Light Shadows

It has been a busy day at Waddesdon Manor today.  Wet days bring lots of wet umbrellas which we ask people to leave at the door to be returned when the finish their tour - these have to be labelled and moved to the exit door so lots of wetness.  There were four coachloads today plus some school visits and the usual number of general visitors.  I am amazed that there was a lull long enough for me to grab my camera and manage of few shots in the Main entrance where the light diffused by the clouds was casting soft shadows; this is one of a pair of decorative 'ornaments' on either side of the entrance into the House.  There is a double shadow as there was light from a window and light from the open door.  This is all part of my self-imposed project on how different qualities of light at different times of day affect various features of Waddesdon Manor.
